MAPP renews B Corp certification with 53% score uplift

MAPP is pleased to announce that we have been recertified as a B Corp, the global benchmark for recognising companies meeting the highest standards of verified environmental and social performance, in pursuing purpose beyond profit.

In our 2024-25 recertification, MAPP achieved an Overall B Impact Score of 132.5, well above the 80 points required for B Corp certification. Moreover, we have improved our Impact Score from the 2021 figure of 86.6, representing a significant increase of 53%.

MAPP remains one of the largest national real estate consultancies to earn the recognition. We are proud to be part of the global movement of B Corps committed to making business a force for good. Like the initial B Corp application, the re-accreditation has been a rigorous process, taking seven months to complete. MAPP’s entire business operations came under close scrutiny, covering the five key areas of governance, workers, community, environment and customers.

Recent developments that have boosted our Impact Score include the company’s transition into an Employee Ownership Trust, providing an opportunity for the 650 people-strong team to take on the ownership of the business and have a meaningful voice in how we operate.

As well as being the first national real estate consultancy to become a B Corp, MAPP has recently been voted as Newsweek’s 23rd ‘Most Loved Place to Work in the UK’ and won the ESG Edge Employer of the Year and the EG Employer Award in 2024.

MAPP is also a signatory of the Better Business Act (BBA), which harnesses the potential of business leaders to create a significant positive movement towards bettering environmental, social and governance (ESG) for the economy and the planet.

Louise Bonham, MAPP's Chief Executive Officer, said:

“Over the last four years, our B Corp status has been a source of enormous pride for MAPP and a brilliant way to demonstrate our commitment to being a force for good.

“Being a B Corp helps our team to speak with integrity about our ESG commitments and provides a shared sense of ownership and responsibility. A recent survey revealed that Gen Z and Millennials report high awareness of the B Corp brand, which we believe has helped us attract and retain better talent.

“Our hard-won re-certification is an enormous achievement, particularly as we have raised our score to such an impressive level. Every single member of our team has played their part and we also recognise the positive role that our clients and partners have played in this journey; in particular B Corp has proven to be a fantastic shared endeavour to work on with our supply chain.”

Chris Turner, Executive Director of B Lab UK, said:

“We are delighted that MAPP has re-certified as a B Corp. This is a movement of companies that are committed to changing how business operates and believe business really can be a force for good. We know that MAPP will continue being a fantastic addition to the community and will further drive the conversation forward.”
